The Fiscal Year 2018 Unified Planning Work Program for the Kalamazoo metropolitan area outlines the transportation planning program of the Kalamazoo Area Transportation Study. The Unified Planning Work Program identifies how the available planning funds (federal and state) will be used to address the federal and state transportation planning requirements while concurrently addressing local transportation policies, programs, issues, and priorities.
Areas of focus for the Fiscal Year 2018 Unified Planning Work Program include:
- Work with the Michigan Department of Transportation to identify and adopt performance targets for the Metropolitan Planning Area for incorporation into planning products (Work Element 200, 300, 500)
- Incorporate new Statewide and Metro Planning Rules into the Transportation Improvement Program
- Consultant work for the completion of a Transit Fixed Route Marked Stop Only Study (Work Element 600)
- Congestion Management Process Update (Work Element 200)
