Policy Committee Meeting March 30, 2022

The Kalamazoo Area Transportation Study Policy Committee will be meeting in-person without a dial-in option, on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at Metro, 530 N. Rose Street, Kalamazoo. Technical Committee Meeting March 10, 2022

The Kalamazoo Area Transportation Study Technical Committee will be meeting on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at Metro, 530 N. Rose Street, Kalamazoo. Beginning January 1, 2022, the Michigan law permitting virtual meetings expired. Participants are required to wear a face covering and complete the COVID-19 Health Assessment Questionnaire that will be available upon meeting check-in. Traffic Data Collection Services Request for Proposals

The Kalamazoo Area Transportation Study (KATS) has issued a Request for Proposals from vendors interested in acting as a consultant to gather traffic count, classification, speed, and turn count data and a second optional part to complete Roadsoft inventory work for 2022, 2023, and 2024. There is an option to extend the contract for two additional three-year periods.  Data gathering will be conducted within Kalamazoo County and the four Van Buren County townships of Almena, Antwerp, Paw Paw, and Waverly including cities and villages within them.  Proposals are due to KATS by September 30, 2021 and can be found at the following link:

There is no dial-in option. As outlined in the amended Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Directive Gathering and Face Mask Order effective May 15 2021, public meetings under the Open Meetings Act are not subject to outdoor capacity limits. Participants shall conduct self-screening for COVID-19 symptoms before attending the meeting and not attend if symptomatic. Attendees will be required to provide a phone number for contact tracing. Sanitizing protocol will be practiced and masks are required. Please remember to practice social distancing.
