Proposed Transportation Improvement Program Amendments

Proposed amendments to the FY 2017-2020 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) are available to review.  Comments may be submitted by emailing sstepek@katsmpo.org or by mail to the Kalamazoo Area Transportation Study, 5220 Lovers Ln, Suite 110, Portage, MI 49002. Deadline to submit comments will be March 19, 2019. Comments may also be made at the January 30, 2019 Policy Committee Meeting to be held at 9:00 a.m. at Metro, 530 N. Rose Street.  The proposed amendments are available at the following link: March 2019 TIP Amendments.

Public notice of public involvement activities and time established for public review and comments on the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) will satisfy the Program of Projects (POP) requirements for the following grantees: The Kalamazoo County Transportation Authority, the Central County Transportation Authority and Van Buren Public Transit.

Rural Task Force #3 Meeting Announcement

A public meeting will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. for the purpose of allowing local officials and interested citizens to provide input into the allocation of rural federal aid funds for eligible rural routes and transit systems in Barry, Branch, Calhoun, Kalamazoo and St. Joseph counties for fiscal years 2019 – 2023.  The meeting will be held at the Road Commission of Kalamazoo County:  3801 East Kilgore Road, Kalamazoo.

Open House & KATS Trainings

Learn more about KATS by attending a training session on January 17, 2019 either KATS 101 at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. or the Introduction to the Transportation Improvement Program training at 2:00 and 3:00 p.m.  General open house hours are 9:00-11:00 a.m. and 1:00-4:00 p.m.

All trainings are introductory and last approximately 30 minutes.  Please RSVP to sstepek@katsmpo.org
