Traffic Data Collection Services Request for Proposals

The Kalamazoo Area Transportation Study (KATS) has issued a Request for Proposals from vendors interested in acting as a consultant to gather traffic count, classification, speed, and turn count data and a second optional part to complete Roadsoft inventory work for 2022, 2023, and 2024. There is an option to extend the contract for two additional three-year periods.  Data gathering will be conducted within Kalamazoo County and the four Van Buren County townships of Almena, Antwerp, Paw Paw, and Waverly including cities and villages within them.  Proposals are due to KATS by September 30, 2021 and can be found at the following link:

The Kalamazoo Area Transportation Study (KATS) will be accepting sealed bids for auditing services until 12:00 noon on Monday, July 14, 2017. Bids should be clearly marked “FY 2017-2019 Auditing Services” and submitted to the office of the Kalamazoo Area Transportation Study, 5220 Lovers Lane, Suite 110, Portage, MI 49002. Facsimile Proposals Will Not Be Accepted.

Request for Proposals

The Kalamazoo Area Transportation Study (KATS) is seeking consultant support to provide professional planning services to develop an integrated Pedestrian, Greenway, and Transit Plan for the entire Metropolitan Planning Area. Primary tasks and deliverables to be performed by the consultant shall include, but are not limited to: existing inventory collection; GIS mapping; data collection and analysis; extensive public and stakeholder outreach; identification of potential greenways; and a prioritized project listing.

This solicitation is a continuation of the recently adopted 2045 Metropolitan Transportation Plan which looked extensively at non-motorized travel options. All recommendations produced from this Pedestrian, Greenway, and Transit Plan shall be consistent with the goals and objectives already outlined in the 2045 Metropolitan Transportation Plan.
